  I left the shop feeling terrible about my purchase. Don't ask her to get creative or to help you get creative when choosing your cake. She didn't offer samples to help make a choice. Her sign with all the cake batter, icing, filling and extras didn't have pricing and was hard to read (same with the website). The basic Pricing on the website doesn't match. Chef was short with me and rude as I have never order a cake before I needed some help and none was given. I ended up with a 6 inch chocolate and vanilla marbled cake with fudge raspberry filling topped with buttercream. I got a lot of buttercream as filling a little fudge and raspberry and no marbling of the chocolate or vanilla batter. Her assistant was nice and I would've rather put the order in with her but was transferred to the chef.

  Disappointed. I needed to purchase a last minute cake for a work event and was pleased to see on their website that they sold stock cakes you could personalize. After going into the store I was greeted by the assistant who was frosty at best, and Heidi, the owner, was only slightly better. A single smile would have gone a long way. From their limited flavor selection I chose an 8" round carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, had it personalized, and $36 later I was out the door.
  
  Having never purchased a cake from a bakery, I had high hopes for flavor, texture, and moisture, and I was disappointed on all three. It looked like a plain white cake with a few carrot shreds thrown in, and tasted like nothing. Only a hint of spice was discernible, and the excessive sweetness of the frosting was the only thing that really shone. The cake was dense and dry and seemed like it had been made weeks before.
  
  I like to give places at least two shots before I right them off, but I'm not in a hurry to give them a second chance. Between the lack of customer service and the quality of the cake, it might be a while.
